Varun Dhawan’s Special Birthday Dhamaaka; Will Share First Look Of Coolie No. 1 Remake
Varun Dhawan has a special treat for his fans on his birthday (April 24). The actor will unveil his first look from the remake of Coolie No 1
There’s a new jodi to watch out for in B-Town. Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan we are talking about. The actors will be paired in the official remake of Coolie No. 1. And, their first looks from the film will be unveiled on Varun’s birthday, states a DNA report.
A source close to the makers told the daily, “The shoot has already taken place and Varun’s birthday seemed liked a great occasion to show the audience what’s in store for them.” Are we excited?!
The film’s dialogues have been penned by Farhad Samji, who also wrote the dialogues for Rohit Shetty’s Simmba, again starring Sara. The movie is expected to take off in July.
Farhad spoke to the leading tabloid about his association with Dhawan for this classic’s adaptation and said, “It is a boon for any writer to work with a dedicated actor like Varun. I narrated the dialogue draft to him recently and he immediately asked me for a copy, so he could rehearse his lines even though there is still time for the film to go on the floors. I am looking forward to teaming up with Sara for the second time.”
Recalling the time when David had given him a break, back in the 2000's, the writer said, “I was hopping from one studio to the next when I happened to bump into Salman (Khan) who introduced me to David ji. He took me on as the lyricist for one of the songs of Hum Kisise Kum Nahin. The film was initially supposed to be made with Salman, but he opted out and was replaced by Sanjay Dutt. With Salman’s exit, I thought even my song would be dropped. But both Salman and David ji promised me that it would be filmed on Sanjay. It marked my arrival in the industry.”
The original Coolie No. 1 starred one of the hit jodis of the 90s era, Govinda and Karisma Kapoor. Their on-screen chemistry provided for great comic relief! Will Varun and Sara manage to recreate the same magic? Let’s wait and watch.
